The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the representatives of financial, tax, customs, investment bodies and banks. The meeting took place in the Kokhi Borbad Complex on May 10.
The members of the government, assistants to the president, relevant agencies and offices of the Presidential Executive Office, the heads of governmental agencies, centers for implementation of investment projects and senior officials of relevant ministries and agencies attended the meeting.
The meeting agenda included review of the activities of economic block, eliminating existing shortcomings in the financial, tax, customs, banking and investment areas.
In his statement President Emomali Rahmon reviewed the current situation of fiscal agencies, banks and set tasks before the government and leadership of ministries and agencies to develop and implement laws and state programs in order to assist further sustainable development of the country and to seek ways to enhance national economic areas.
The instruction was also given to ensure the budget revenue, to set up a new effective mechanism for fiscal agencies, to introduce modern technologies and recruit highly skilled employees.
The meeting included reports by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmonzoda Yusuf, the Director of the State Agency for Financial Control and Combating Corruption Sultonzoda Sulaymon, the Chairman of the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Tajikistan Chillazoda Qarakhon, the Minister of Finance Fayziddin Qahhorzoda, the Chairman of the Tax Committee Nusratullo Davlatzoda, the head of the Customs Service Khurshed Karimzoda, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Jamshed Nurmuhammadzoda, the Chairman of the State Savings Bank of Tajikistan Amonatbank Ikromi Sirojiddin, as well as the heads of joint-stock banks and the Director of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions Safarali Najmiddinov.
In their reports, the Prosecutor General, the Director of the State Agency for Financial Control and Combating Corruption and the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber briefed the attendees on the violations of laws and financial crimes related to the unprofitable use of budget funds and other corruption in the financial, tax, customs bodies and in the banking system.
The Minister of Finance, the Chairman of the Tax Committee, the head of the Customs Service and the Director of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions reported on the issues related to the quality implementation of budget revenues and budget expenditures, the implementation of state programs, the need to introduce digital technologies, tax simplification, prevention of violations of laws in appointments and payments of pensions.
The Chairman of Amonatbank as well as the chairmen of joint-stock banks reported on the banking system, the exchange rate of the national currency and measures to improve the level of banking services for savings deposits and training and placement of personnel.
Closing the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon gave specific instructions to all employees of financial, tax, customs sectors and called upon them to work for the benefit of the state and the nation.
