Meeting of the Minister of economic development and trade with the Permanent Representative of the World Bank in the Republic of Tajikistan

At the Ministry of economic development and trade of the Republic of Tajikistan the Minister, Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, met with the Permanent Representative of the World Bank in the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Jan-Peter Olters.

During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the effective cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the World Bank, and then exchanged views on the economic Memorandum of the Сountry, prepared by experts of the World Bank.

Also during the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues of socio-economic development of the Republic, including the positive trend of the main macroeconomic indicators, the development of the private sector, the production of domestic competitive goods and products, the attraction of modern and innovative technologies, productive employment and new jobs, the investment climate and the attraction of foreign investment, the development of exports and import substitution, as well as the digital economy.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to develop bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the World Bank.
