Meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan

On December 27, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of  the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

The report of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Fayziddin Qahhorzoda, was first heard during the work of the meeting on the Medium-Term Strategy for Managing the State Debt of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024-2026.

It was emphasized that the main goal of the Strategy for Managing the State Debt of the Republic of Tajikistan is to ensure the financing needs of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan by attracting loan funds with the lowest costs in the medium and long term perspective with a reasonable degree of risk, organization and maintenance of a functional securities market.

After reviewing the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on the Medium-Term  Strategy for Managing the State Debt of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024-2026, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, ordered the approval of the Strategy and instructed the Ministry of Finance, together with relevant ministries and agencies, to take necessary measures for the implementation of this Strategy.

At the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, reports of the responsible persons were heard on the State Program for the Development of Theater Arts in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024-2028 and on the Work Plan of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first half of 2024.

Then, the members of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan considered the issues on the submission of the conclusion of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Education" and on the submission of the conclusion of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On educational literature".

The work of the assembly also included the issues of the National Strategy for the Development of Cotton Production and Processing and the Textile Industry in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024-2040, the Medium-Term Program of State Revenues of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024-2029, and the Issues of Planning the Import of Foreign Capital to the Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, gave specific instructions to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the executive bodies of state power of regions, cities and districts and other state structures for the timely and high-quality implementation of the instructions of the current meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the effective realization of state programs and strategies.

Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon instructed the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the executive bodies of state power of regions and cities and districts to ensure the environmental cleanliness of streets and residential areas, environmental protection and landscaping. The task was given to provide high-quality tree planting along the highways on both sides during planting, with the involvement of experts in the field, following the procedure and technology of growing decorative and shady seedlings.

Other assignments were given to the Government of the country and the executive bodies of state power in order to carry out the winter campaign of 2023-2024 at a high organizational level, ensure fire safety, expand development works to welcome the 35th anniversary of state independence and successfully summarize the results of the activities of the national economy sectors in 2023.
