The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the General Director of the National Logistics Group of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

On April 1, 2024, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the Director General of the National Logistics Group of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Major General Farrukh Shehzad Rao.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the far-sighted policies of the leaders of the two countries - the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the respected Shahboz Sharif, trade and economic cooperation between the states has reached a high level .

In this regard, it was noted that in 2023, the foreign trade turnover of Tajikistan and Pakistan increased by 1.6 times compared to 2022 and amounted to $52.7 million.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, economics and investment and paid special attention to the issue of exporting organic fruits and vegetables from the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and implement the issues noted.
