Conducting a meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on monitoring and evaluation of strategic planning documents

On December 26, 2023, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on monitoring and evaluation of strategic planning documents was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the working group, the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, deputy ministries and member departments, executive bodies of local government accountability and representatives of other interested parties.

It was noted that in order to ensure the implementation of strategic goals and priorities, 235 strategic planning documents at the National, sectoral and local levels are currently functioning in the country; in accordance with the working group’s plan for 2023, it is necessary to monitor and evaluate the progress of 26 sectoral and regional programs, and also report to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan detailed reports on the status of their implementation.

In this regard, the meeting discussed the progress of implementation of 10 strategic planning documents and the state of their implementation by the Ministries of Agriculture, Economic Development and Trade, Education and Science, Health and Social Protection of the Population, Culture, reports and prospects were presented by the Agency for Land Sanitation and Irrigation under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Main Department of Geology under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the executive bodies of the city of Kulyab.

At the meeting, the implementation of sectoral and local development programs was checked and assessed according to planned projects, sources of financing, sectoral indicators and problems arising in the process of their implementation.

At the end of the meeting, appropriate decisions were made to improve the proposed instructions and their indicators.
