Meeting on the results of the activities of the state institution “National Patent Information Center” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2023

On January 15 of this year, under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Vosidiyon Farhod Sadullo, a meeting was held on the results of the activities of the state institution “National Patent Information Center” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2023 with the participation of management, heads of structural divisions and employees of the institution.

The meeting began with an opening speech by Vosidiyon F.S. and a detailed report on summing up the results of labor activity for the reporting period was presented by the deputy director of the institution - Solihzoda S. Kh. in the form of a presentation.

It was noted that in connection with the strengthening of the industry, ensuring the development of industrial property indicators, improving the quality of work and services and expanding international cooperation, significant work was carried out during this period.

It was emphasized that during this period, the institution, first of all, paid its main attention to the implementation of the instructions and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, in the direction of connecting inventions to production, digitizing the sphere, and forming a national information reserve and preventing situations aimed at plagiarism, has taken the necessary measures to improve activities and promote an effective work system, as well as ensure the high-quality implementation of orders from the government of the country.

During the reporting period, through the initiative, assistance and coordination of the institution, the participation of the country's inventors and innovators in various international competitions and exhibitions was ensured, as a result of which the participants received places of honor and well-deserved prizes.

It was noted that in 2023, despite the negative impact of external factors on the development of sectors of the national economy, the development of industrial property indicators was ensured.

It was also said that in 2023, 145 applications for a first patent for an invention, 1 application for a patent for an invention and 1 application for a patent for an industrial design were submitted to the institution.

Regarding the registration of trademarks under national procedures, the institution received 767 applications and 2,094 applications for registration of trademarks under international procedures, which is 156 and 158 more than in 2022, respectively.

Of the total number of documents issued: 1 patent for an invention, 1 patent copyright certificate, 128 first patent certificates, 606 first patent copyright certificates, 526 certificates for trademarks and service marks.

At the end of the meeting, Vosidiyon F.S. noted that in general the activities of the institution during this period were assessed positively, taking into account the important achievements of the industry, emphasizing the results obtained, gave appropriate instructions and instructions to the heads of structural divisions and useful proposals for the further development of the area.
