On December 18-20, 2017, the second meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission of Tajikistan and Kuwait on economic, trade, scientific and technical cooperation was held in Kuwait City, the State of Kuwait. The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan was headed by Nematullo Hikmatullozoda - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan and by the State of Kuwait Khalif Musaid al-Hamada - First Deputy Minister of Finance of the State of Kuwait.

December 13, 2017  in the Hotel "Hyatt Regency Dushanbe" was held the ceremony of awarding the Republican contest "Brand of the Year-2017" under the name "Kullai Sharaf". Representatives of ministries and departments of the republic, international organizations, as well as a wide range of representatives of the private sector took part in this event. The event was opened with the opening speech of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade,  Nematullo Hikmatullozoda.
