Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mr. Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and Ambassador of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mr. Valeriu Chivery

On 9 December 2020, Minister of Economic Development and Trade            Mr. Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mr. Valeriu Chivery.

Zavqizoda Z.A. noted that based on the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H. E. Emomali Rahmon, a number of tasks on trade development were completed, including the establishment of the Coordination Committee on Facilitation of Trade Procedures, Tajikistan Trade Portal and adoption of the Concept on digital economy.

During the meeting, Mr. Zavqizoda Z. A. expressed gratitude to the OSCE for their contribution on development of the economy and elimination of the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to trade.

Mr. Zavqizoda Z. A. also noted about the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation in new areas, including digital economy, macroeconomic modelling, presentation of the Tajikistan Trade Portal in cities and regions of the country, implementation of the Roadmap of Coordinating Committee on Facilitation of Trade Procedures.OSCE Ambassador Mr. Valeriu Chivery highly ranked the cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan by expressing readiness to expand bilateral relations.
