A meeting of the Republican Headquarters on preparing the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region for winter was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade

On November 30, 2023, a meeting of the Republican Headquarters was held to implement the resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 28, 2023, No. 125 “On the timely preparation of sectors of the economy and social sphere of the republic for uninterrupted and effective activities in the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024,” in which preparation of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region for winter was considered.

The meeting was held under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali with the participation of representatives of line ministries and departments-members of the republican headquarters and chairmen of executive bodies of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, its cities and districts online.

In order to study the actual state of implementation of this decision, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a working group was created from representatives of the relevant line ministries and departments, a working trip was made to the cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, including institutions in the fields of education, healthcare, culture, transport, industrial enterprises, housing and communal services, for uninterrupted and efficient activities in the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024, and also discussed and submitted relevant reports to the government of the republic.

During the meeting, reports were presented by the leadership of the executive body of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, cities and districts, during the meeting opinions were expressed on the existing shortcomings and problems in each city and districts of the region in connection with the financing of the purchase and storage of flammable materials, food supplies and gravity, preparation of energy facilities and other issues.

Following the meeting, the head of the Republican Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali, gave specific instructions to the relevant ministries and departments and executive bodies of government of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region in connection with ensuring the implementation of the storage plan for the necessary materials and timely preparation of socio-economic areas for uninterrupted and efficient operations in the autumn-winter period 2023-2024.
