Opening of sewing enterprises "Sitorai Toj" LLC and "Leader" LLC in the city of Khujand
On September 9, on the day of celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the State Independence, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, in the center of the city of Khujand, Sughd Province, opened two new industrial enterprises - "Sitorai Toj" and "Leader" LLCs, both of which are located in the same building.
Garment factories were built within the framework of a favorable environment for business and investment and the implementation of the fourth national goal - rapid industrialization of the country, and 900 people are employed in them in two shifts.
Here, the Honorable Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, first got acquainted with the activities of the newly established company "Sitorai Toj".
360 sewing machines were imported and installed in this enterprise for sewing special and uniform work clothes, and 350 women and housewives got job in one shift after learning the intricacies of this craft.
The “Sitorai Toj" enterprise was built with the attraction of foreign capital with high quality and meets the requirements of architecture. It is possible to prepare and present to the market up to 120 thousand sets of special and uniform work clothes and more than 1 million knitted clothes per year.
In cutting and sewing workshops, finished products are prepared to the final level using high-quality domestic and foreign fabrics, and they are available to buyers with modern designs.
Honorable President of the country Emomali Rahmon, after familiarizing himself with the production process, assessed the investor's action as a good example of cooperation with foreign investors in the field of industry. It was emphasized that thanks to the state support of small and medium-sized businesses, representatives of the private sector can continue to build such modern enterprises and double the volume of import substitution products.
The founder of the company plans to increase the number of jobs and the volume of production by 2-3 times in the future, depending on the product demand.
At the same time, the Head of State got acquainted with the operation process of another newly built enterprise - "Leader" Limited Liability Company, which is located next to the "Sitorai Toj" enterprise.
Based on the requirements of international standards, this enterprise has launched the production of well-known jeans under the brand "JADID", 99% of which is made of cotton.
Since jeans and other cotton clothes have many buyers in the world, domestic entrepreneurs are trying to introduce domestic products with the "Made in Tajikistan" brand abroad by building new enterprises and introducing modern technology.
In this newly established enterprise, women and girls, 200 people in two shifts, are employed on well-paid jobs in cutting denim fabric and sewing it.
The workers and specialists of the "Leader" garment factory obtain raw materials from domestic and foreign enterprises and, using modern devices and equipment, have the opportunity to prepare up to 800 pairs of jeans per day.
The Head of State highly appreciated the actions of domestic entrepreneurs and the quality of the manufactured products, which are fully export-oriented.
In the future, with the increase in demand for this type of products produced in Tajikistan, the founders of the company are determined to increase the volume of production on the basis of the existing workforce.
Using 70 sewing machines, workers prepare high-quality products every day and export them abroad based on demand.
In order to ensure continuous operation and increase the volume of production of competitive products, at the same time, solar panels were installed on the roof of the building, from which the sewing machines receive electricity.
Light industry, along with other sectors of the industry, is considered one of the priority areas in the provision of jobs for women and girls, and in the future, within the framework of the strategy and implementation of the goals of the "Years of Industrial Development" - 2022-2026, the construction and operation of such modern enterprises is foreseen in the city of Khujand.
