Participation and speech at the theatrical program dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in Rasht district
On September 13, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, participated and spoke at the theatrical program dedicated to the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in Rasht district.
At the beginning, the Head of State sincerely congratulated all the residents of Rasht district and the participants of the event in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the State Independence of beloved Tajikistan.
Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that "independence and freedom are the most precious blessings of life and the most sacred wealth for us, thanks to which every individual of Tajikistan has a peaceful life in his free homeland and the conditions and opportunities for constructive and prosperous activities".
The President of the country expressed full confidence that in the near future, with the support of the Government of the country and the dedicated work of the people, our dear Motherland, including the districts of the Rasht Valley, will be more prosperous and beautiful, and the living conditions of every family will improve even more.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon assessed the contribution of the noble and honorable entrepreneurs of the district to the development and progress of this part of the country.
It was emphasized that according to the plan of development works in honor of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence in Rasht district, the construction and renovation of 307 facilities of various purposes were planned, and work on 131 facilities has been completed so far.
It was considered necessary to expand the work on the remaining facilities and ensure their use within the specified time and with high quality.
Honorable President of the country Emomali Rahmon recalled the support of the state and mentioned that more than 2.7 billion somoni, including 1.5 billion somoni from the state budget, were allocated to ensure the social and economic development of Rasht district during the period of independence.
In addition, 25 state investment projects in the amount of 500 million somoni have been completed within the territory of the district, and the implementation of 6 more projects is underway, within which 123 million somoni have been spent so far.
Currently, one of the biggest projects for the districts of Rasht Valley is the construction of the Rogun-Obigarm-Nurobod road, which is an international highway, and its construction is being implemented in accordance with the requirements of modern international standards.
In the Social and Economic Development Program of Rasht district for 2021-2025, the implementation of 256 projects worth 393 million somoni was planned, and work on 202 projects has been completed, which is 79 percent of the program plan.
The Head of State instructed the district leadership to ensure the implementation of the remaining projects of the program in cooperation with ministries and agencies and with the involvement of the private sector.
During the speech, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, expressed his opinion on the development of vital sectors, such as energy, agriculture, education and healthcare.
The district leadership, together with the Ministry of Education and Science, was tasked to expand cooperation with the private sector and take necessary measures to attract capital for the construction of educational institutions, including pre-school institutions, and to solve other existing problems in the field.
Due to the very turbulent situation of the modern world, in particular, rapid climate change and its adverse consequences - consecutive droughts and natural disasters, it was emphasized that every family should think about the production of products and a two-year supply of food.
At the end of the speech, the Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, confidently stated that the noble people of Rasht district will continue their patriotic efforts to make their homeland more prosperous and beautiful and to strengthen the foundations of our independent state.
