Press conference at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade

  

Today, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade held a press conference on the results of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan and the activities of the Ministry in 2024, organized within the framework of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated September 15, 2011 No. AP-1729 "On the plan for organizing and holding press conferences in ministries, departments, organizations and institutions, executive authorities of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, regions, the city of Dushanbe and cities and districts of republican subordination."

The press conference was chaired by the leadership of the ministry with the participation of more than 34 representatives of the media both from within the country and abroad.

At the beginning of the press conference, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, esteemed Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, presented a detailed report on the results of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan and the activities of the ministry in 2024 in the form of a presentation. At the same time, a press release was provided to media representatives in Tajik and Russian.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that regardless of the influence of external factors, as a result of the implementation of the instructions and directions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, state strategies and programs, the stability of macroeconomic indicators was ensured, and the gross domestic product reached 153.4 billion somoni or 8.4 percent in real terms, while inflation remained stable at 3.6 percent.

During the press conference, the leadership of the ministry answered journalists' questions about various aspects of the socio-economic situation in the country, including economic growth, the activities of free economic zones, the implementation of strategies and programs, the development of artificial intelligence, digital and green economy, as well as foreign economic cooperation and other topics.
