Overview of the Forecast of Key Socio-Economic Development Indicators for Sughd Region and the Rasht Region for 2026 and Main Parameters for 2027-2028

  

On March 12, 2025, in accordance with the requirements of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan's decree dated October 1, 2024, No. 92-f, a presentation of the socio-economic development indicators forecast for the Sughd region and the Rasht, Tajikabad, Sangvor, Lakhsh, and Nurobod districts was held at the ministry with the participation of representatives from the executive bodies of state power in these areas.

 

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Vasidiun Farhod Saduullo, who noted that the purpose of the meeting is to effectively implement the directives and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity—the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, aimed at finding new sources of development, improving the living standards and quality of life of the population, ensuring food security, efficiently utilizing existing opportunities and resources, commissioning new capacities, activating existing capacities, and ensuring the overall economic development of the country.

It was emphasized that in developing the socio-economic development indicators forecast for 2026 and its main parameters for 2027-2028, it is necessary to take into account the provisions of adopted state and sectoral concepts, strategies, programs, and regional socio-economic development programs for the regions and districts. In this process, the Head of the Economic Development and Trade Monitoring Department of the Sughd Region's executive body, Hakimzoda Hakim Karim; the First Deputy Chairman of Rasht District, Sharifzoda Hamdullo Khodji; the First Deputy Chairman of Tajikabad District, Hasan Davlatkhodja; the Deputy Chairman of Lakhsh District, Jabborzoda Mukim Amon; the First Deputy Chairman of Nurobod District, Shakhiyn Makhmad Bala; and the First Deputy Chairman of Sangvor District, Muhammadzoda Muhammadsoleh presented and discussed the forecast of key socio-economic development indicators for 2026 and its main parameters for 2027-2028.

After their presentation, the proposed indicators were reviewed, and relevant decisions were made based on the outcomes of the meeting.

According to the approved work plan, at the next meeting, the prospects for key socio-economic development indicators for the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Khatlon Region, Dushanbe city, and other cities and districts will be presented and discussed in March and April.
