Discussion of the Preliminary Content of the National Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030

  

On March 19, 2025, a round table was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan under the leadership of Minister Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and UN Resident Coordinator Parvathy Ramaswami, with the participation of members of the interdepartmental working group, the Coordination Council of Development Partners and experts to present and discuss the preliminary content of the National Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030 (NDP 2026–2030).

Zavqizoda Z. A. opened the meeting and, in accordance with the instructions and directions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, spoke about the progress in implementing the country's strategic goals, emphasizing the need to strengthen cooperation with relevant parties in developing a review of the MTDP 2021-2025 and the draft NDP 2026-2030.

Following the opening, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade presented the preliminary content of the program, highlighting strategic priorities such as digitalization, development of artificial intelligence, innovation-driven economic growth based on science and invention, and the development of human capital.

A key part of the round table was the discussion of the preliminary NDP content with active participation from Council members, representatives of ministries and agencies, national experts, and other stakeholders.

It should be noted that the National Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030 represents the third phase of the country’s National Development Strategy and aims to ensure comprehensive economic and social development through sustainability and efficient resource utilization.

At the end of the meeting, the discussion outcomes and suggestions were summarized, and the next steps for refining the draft NDP 2026–2030 and holding further consultations were outlined. Participants were thanked for their valuable contributions and active engagement.
