Tajikistan Strengthens Regional Cooperation in Science and Innovation at the 35th Meeting of the CIS Interstate Council in Tashkent
On April 30, 2025, in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nasriddinzoda Rukhshona Hikmatullo, Member of the Interstate Council for Cooperation in Scientific, Technical and Innovation Spheres of the CIS, participated in the 35th meeting of the Council.
The meeting focused on priority areas for enhancing scientific, technical, and innovation cooperation among CIS member states. In her speech, the head of the Tajik delegation delivered a report on the current state of science, technology, and innovation in Tajikistan, highlighting key achievements, ongoing challenges, and future development priorities aimed at ensuring sustainable socio-economic growth both nationally and regionally.
As part of the visit, the First Forum on Innovation Development of the CIS was also held, where participants discussed the exchange of advanced technologies, the implementation of innovative solutions, and the development of joint research initiatives. During the forum, Nasriddinzoda Rukhshona Hikmatullo shared Tajikistan’s experience in supporting research and development projects and promoting their commercialization. She emphasized the importance of creating a favorable environment for technology transfer, developing innovation infrastructure, and encouraging private investment in science and innovation.
Tajikistan’s participation in these events underscores its commitment to deeper integration into scientific and innovation processes across the CIS, as well as to active knowledge-sharing and the adoption of best practices that support modernization and sustainable economic development.
