Participation of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade in the Roundtable of the Heads of the Islamic Development Bank

  

On May 22, 2025, within the framework of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), the Minister of Economic Development and Trade / Plenipotentiary Representative of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) from the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin took part and spoke at the roundtable of the heads of the IDB country office.

Zavqizoda Z. A. expressed gratitude to the IDB management for financing priority projects in the areas of the national economy and noted that in accordance with the wise policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, diversification of the economy through the development of a green economy, innovation, digitalization and human capital is one of the main priorities.

It was emphasized that the implementation of the new IDB strategy on sustainability and combating climate change for 2026-2035 and its financing will contribute to achieving the development goals and priorities of member countries, including green economy, food security, irrigation infrastructure and preventing the effects of climate change.

The ministers of the IDB member countries made useful proposals and recommendations in their statements.
