The Minister met with Aimilios Chatzinikolaous

On 9 March 2017 at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan was held a meeting between the Minister, Nematullo Hikmatullozoda and the representative from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Mr. Aimilios Chazinikolaous.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the goals and priorities of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 and the Medium-Term Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2016-2020, in particular, achieving energy independence and efficient use of electricity, breaking the communication deadlock and turning Tajikistan into a transit country, ensuring food security and expanding productive employment. In addition, the parties discussed issues related to the development of the private sector, attracting investment, creating new jobs places, supporting domestic producers, etc.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their interest in intensifying mutually beneficial cooperation in all prioritized areas.
