National Workshop of the WTO

On 27 and 28 of September 2016the representatives of the World Trade Organization (WTO) conducted a workshopon the principles of transparency and their implementationin theWTO Agreements on Sanitary and Phytosanitary MeasuresTechnical barriers to tradein the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.

 This workshop was based on the technical assistance of the WTO. The representatives of the Governmental ministries and agencies of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the following workshop. The workshop included lectures, exercises and interactive sessions of the WTO online systems. The purpose of this workshop was to improve the understanding ofcivil servants of Tajikistan ontransparency measuresof the Sanitary and Phytosanitary(SPS), as well as technical barriers to trade (TBT) agreements. 

In addition, the training materials were disseminated and at the same time updated WTO systems on notification, such asNotification Submission Systemsand Information Management System on SPS / TBT measures were introduced to the participants.
