On April 14, 2017, in the framework the first session of the Tajikistan-Japan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. NematulloHikmatullozoda held meetingwith the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Nobuo Kishi.

On April 14, 2017 in Tokyo, under the chairmanship of Mr. Nematullo Khikmatullozoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Mr. Toshihiro Aiki, Special Representative for Central Asia, Deputy Director-General of European Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, held the first meeting of the Tajikistan-Japan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation.

13 апреля 2017 года в Посольстве Республики Таджикистан в Японии состоялся бизнес-семинар на тему: «Макроэкономическая среда и инвестиционные возможности Таджикистана для иностранных компаний» с участием официальной делегации Республики Таджикистан, представителей профильных государственных и частных секторов Японии.
