On 19 July 2017 at the United Nations headquarters in New York Tajikistan presented its Voluntary National Review (VNR) on the implementation of the Agenda 2030 during High Level Political Forum 2017 Session. VNRs aim to facilitate the sharing of experiences, including successes, challenges and lessons learned, with a view to accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The VNRs also seek to strengthen policies and institutions of governments and to mobilize multi-stakeholder support and partnerships for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

On 18 July 2017 in New York the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Nematullo Khikmatullozoda met with the Minister of State for Food, Forestry and Horticulture of Ireland Andrew Doyle.

On 18 July 2017 the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Nematullo Khikmatullozoda participated in the SDG Business Forum.
