Meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin
The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The meeting took place on June 14 on the sidelines of the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia.
The meeting focused on the issues relating to the strategic partnership between the two countries.
“The high-level meetings and negotiations between the two countries are important for the development and progress of inter-state relations. I am confident that our next meeting will also give a serious impetus to this process,” said President Emomali Rahmon.
The parties expressed their satisfaction with the results of the official visit of the President of Tajikistan to Russia, the practical implementation of the already signed documents, the interaction of the bodies of the two countries in terms of expanding multilateral relations and agreements reached in various areas of cooperation.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
