Presentation of credentials by new ambassadors
The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received letters of credence from foreign ambassadors in the Palace of the Nation today.
Among them were Askar Tadjibayev representing Kazakhstan, Viraj Singh from India, Imran Haider of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Matthew Lawson of the United Kingdom, Zurab Abdushelishvili of Georgia, Kang Jae Kwon of the Republic of Korea, Samir Veladzik of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alfonso López Caballero representing Colombia, Graeme Meehan of Australia and Girma Temesgen Barkessa from Ethiopia who presented their credentials and conveyed the sincere greetings of their state heads to President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The head of state Emomali Rahmon congratulated newly appointed ambassadors on their new posts as heads of diplomatic missions to Tajikistan and expressed his confidence that their diplomatic work will be fruitful and will contribute to further developing and strengthening the multi-faceted cooperation between Tajikistan and states that they represent.
President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that since its independence, Tajikistan has been pursuing an active open-door policy and is constantly making efforts to develop and expand mutually beneficial political, socio-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the world community.
