Working trip to Tursunzoda
The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited the Dono farm and the grape farm Bogi Somon where he learned about the farms' operations. During his working trip to Tursunzoda, he was accompanied by the Dushanbe Chairman Rustam Emomali.
On an area of 0.60 ha the Dono farm cultivates vegetables, in particular best varieties of tomatoes.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with Tursunzoda farmers and voiced his appreciation for the farmers' yield of early products and rational use of land and called on them to develop the sector, increase agricultural production, strengthen the consumer protection and provide the population with early products, especially tomatoes.
The Bogi Somon farm has a rich experience in grape cultivation, and annually harvests dozens of tons of product and actively contributes to providing the domestic market with high quality grapes and increasing the country's export potential. The grape farm was established in 2008, and now has 1102 shareholders.
More than 2,000 tons of products are stored in its cold storages annually.
The Tursunzoda farmers have made significant achievements in all agricultural sectors and actively contribute to the implementation of one of the strategic goals of our country - ensuring food security.
Following his acquaintance with the activities of farms in Tursunzoda, President Emomali Rahmon visited the home of a well-known farmer, a famous winegrower, the late Khoja Kamol and honored his memory.
