Meeting of the Minister with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan

Today, on January 28, 2020, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held between the Minister, Mr. Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Takayuki Miyashita.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, including the holding of an intergovernmental commission of Tajikistan and Japan, the expansion of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), as well as the development of foreign trade, attracting investment from Japanese entrepreneurs and companies, the creation of enterprises in free economic zones, establishing cooperation in the field of agriculture and export of fresh organic agricultural products to Japan, cotton processing to final products using Japanese technology, strengthening the work of business incubators, introduction of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan and thus attracting Japanese tourists to the country and other equally important issues.

In conclusion, the parties expressed their readiness to further increase the bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Japan.
