Meeting with Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China
The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon received the Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee Yang Jiechi.
The discussion focused on the current state and prospects of a wide-ranging Tajik – Chinese cooperation pertaining to Inter-Party Dialogue.
Tajikistan and China are strategic partners and close neighbors. The parties conformed their interest in further strengthening multilateral interstate relations and emphasized that inter-party relations are an important component of the relationship between the two countries.
The two sides continued their exchange of views on the development of trade and economy and investment, implementation of joint energy projects, industrial and agricultural, road and cooperation in transportation, cultural, people – to – people contacts, education, science and technology spheres.
The implementation of the Tajik – Chinese Cooperation Program within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative was identified as of vital importance.
Several matters pertaining to Tajik – Chinese cooperation in the field of security, the fight against international terrorism and extremism as well as transnational organized crime were also touched upon.
