On September 29th the Tajikistan and Uzbekistan Investment Forum was held
On September 29th within the framework of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade ZavqizodaZavqi Amin Tajik-Uzbek Investment Forum was held in Dushanbe.
Zavqizoda Z.A. highlighted that thanks to the constructive initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H. E. EmomaliRahmon and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H. E. ShavkatMirziyoyev, the cooperation between the two countries reached a qualitatively new level. These events have become a tradition in order to strengthen the economic cooperation, increasing export potential, and attracting investment.
More than 300 participants participated in the forum from both countries, including heads of the state agencies and entities, as well as the companies from the private sector.
Within the framework of the forum, the investment climate and opportunities in tourism, industry, energy, services and other sectors were introduced to the participants and considered cooperation projects.
After the official part of the Forum, a bilateral meeting of entrepreneurs of the two countries took place in the "Business to Business" (B2B) format, which resulted in the signing of new cooperation agreements.
Participants of Tajik-Uzbek Investment Forum highly appreciate the development of bilateral relations and signing of agreements covering all areas of economic cooperation. The parties agreed to hold similar business forums on a regular basis.
