President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon has shown great economic success during the country's independence

On November 16, 2020, a solemn meeting of the staff of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade was held on the occasion of the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The forum was opened by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, who, on behalf of the leadership of the ministry, congratulated the participants on the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, he also noted that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon had achieved great economic success during the years of the country's independence.

Especially during the years of state independence, the Government of the country under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon ensured sustainable economic growth and raised the living standards of people on the basis of a market economy by accelerating creative activity, construction and reconstruction of transport, energy, social infrastructure and the implementation of comprehensive reforms in various sectors. In particular, the implementation of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030, the medium-term development program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2020, as well as a total of 187 sectoral and regional strategies and programs is being carried out.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was estimated at 1.7 billion somoni in 2000 and amounted to 77.4 billion somoni in 2019, i.e. increased 45.5 times. GDP per capita increased 29 times (from 288.7 somoni to 8388 somoni).

The poverty rate fell from 83 percent in 2000 to 26.3 percent in 2020.

Incomes of the population exceeded 1 billion somoni in 2000 and reached 48 billion in 2019 (i.e., 48 times), and the average wage increased from 15.6 somoni to 1,335 somoni (i.e., 85.6 times) ...

The state budget revenue in 2000 was 300 million somoni and reached 23.5 billion somoni in 2019 i.e. increased by 78.3 times.

At the meeting, ministry officials recited poems in honor of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
