The official launch of the Central Asian Trade Intelligence Portal
On February 25, 2021, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mr. Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, the Central Asian Trade Intelligence Portal was officially launched by UNDP and ITC.
Mr. Abdurahmonzoda A.S. noted that the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H. E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, in his annual address to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, gave special instructions to the relevant ministries and agencies to resolve issues of providing favorable conditions for domestic entrepreneurs, development of domestic and foreign trade by taking necessary measures to remove barriers to trade and services.
It was also noted that in accordance with the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H. E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, the Tajikistan Trade Portal and the Single Window System were launched in the country.
The main goal of the Central Asian Trade Intelligence Portal, along with the Tajikistan Trade Portal and the Single Window System is to increase the export potential, provide trade related information to the private sector and develop regional cooperation between the countries of Central Asia.
In the annual report of the World Bank "Doing Business 2020" the Republic of Tajikistan was included in the top 20 reformer countries in view of the measures taken to simplify customs procedures as part of the country's obligations under the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement.
During the meeting, the Central Asian Trade Intelligence Portal was presented and issues of finding the necessary information on the markets of the European Union for the export of domestic goods and strengthening trade relations between the countries of Central Asia and the European Union were discussed.
