Аn agro-industrial complex was opened in Jayhun district
On March 4 2021, an agro-industrial complex was opened in Jayhun district of Khatlon region. The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade – Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon, Deputy UNDP resident representative in Tajikistan – Christopher Politis and other representatives of foreign organizations.
Within the framework of the implementation of instructions and assignments of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to establish effective cooperation with development partners and on the basis of the Decree of President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dated May 22, 2018, a number of projects to develop and implement plan improvement works on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan together with the UNDP, one of which is the agro-industrial complex, were settled.
This complex consists of a cold store, fruit drying and processing of agricultural products.
At the same time a round table at the Executive Power of Bokhtar city, Khatlon region was held at which Deputy Minister of EDT Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon made speech on the purposeful implementation of the “State Program favour for Export and Import Substitution of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2020” and its main implementation directions.
The following decision is aimed at improving living conditions in border regions, expanding employment, developing border trade, fulfilling certain goals of the country’s strategic documents and sustainable development goals in the Republic of Tajikistan.
