With respect and best wishes, on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry, I warmly congratulate you, the staff of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and all economists of our country on your professional holiday - The Economist’s Day and wish you happiness in your personal life and new achievements in your professional activities.

 We can proudly say that under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, economists are contributing to the solution of important socio-economic problems of the country and will continue to contribute to sustainable economic development and raising living standards.

  Thus, over the past seven years, the country’s economic growth has averaged 7 percent annually, gross domestic product has increased from 46 billion somoni to 83 billion, total budget income amounted to 2,5 times, monetary income of the population has tripled, and the average salary per employee has increased 2 times.

  Today, the staff of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade focuses on the following sides of the Message from the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon to Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan:

   “We must continue to strive for the protection of the economic interests of our country, the efficient and rational use of existing opportunities and resources and the search for new sources of economic development, improving the competitiveness of domestic production and adopting of innovative technologies”.

On this professional day, I wish the economists of the country, including the employees of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, ministries and departments of the economic bloc, economic departments of local self-government, academies and universities, good health and significant achievements. I hope the socio-economic indicators of our dear Motherland over the next years will improve significantly.
