Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the leadership of the Coordinating Council of Development Partners

On October 8, 2021, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Development Partners of Tajikistan, the UN Permanent Coordinator in Tajikistan Ms. Sezin Sinanoglu and the Deputy Chairman of the Council, Head of the Asian Development Bank Representative Office Ms. Shani Campbell.

Zavqizoda Z. A. first of all, congratulated Sezin Sinanoglu and Shani Campbell on their appointment to the responsible positions of Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Development Partners of Tajikistan.

It should be noted that in order to fulfill the instructions and recommendations of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon, the National Development Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan as a consultative body to ensure cooperation between government agencies, development partners, the private sector and civil society for the implementation of strategic goals and priorities of the country and the Sustainable Development Goals.

During the meeting, issues of the draft agenda, preparation and holding of a high-level meeting of the National Development Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Development Forum were discussed.

In particular, it was noted that at the next meeting of the Council, for this purpose, a summary report on the implementation of the Mid-term development program of the Republic for 2016-2020 and the Mid-term development program for 2021-2025 is presented and the issue of improving the Council's Position is submitted for consideration. At the same time, interested parties will be invited to contribute to the effective and high-quality implementation of the action plan of the new mid-term program.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to expand fruitful cooperation.
