The fifth session of the Tajik-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Dushanbe

On February 23, 2022, the fifth session of the Tajik-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Dushanbe under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kerimov Inam Imdad.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the wise and far–sighted policy of the leaders of the two countries, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon and the President of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, relations between the two countries have consistently developed and reached a high level.

The sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in trade and economic, investment, agricultural, industrial, energy, transport, communications and modern technologies, education and science, healthcare, cultural, tourism, banking, labor and migration, environmental protection, sports and other areas and agreed on areas of bilateral cooperation, in particular the creation of joint industrial enterprises and technology parks, including in the free economic zones of the Republic of Tajikistan with the involvement of Azerbaijani investors, import of petroleum products and clustering of value chains in agriculture.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, following which a Protocol was signed.
