Participation of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan in the meeting of the High-Level Working Group on Regional Integration with the Countries of Central Asia

On March 30-31, 2023, at the initiative of the Islamic Development Bank, in the city of Almaty of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting of the Working Group on Regional Integration with the Countries of Central Asia was held, which was attended by a delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin.

The meeting was also attended by high-ranking representatives of Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Nuriddinzoda A.N. during his speech, he noted that the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, attaches particular importance to expanding cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, and this is evidenced by the fact that the comprehensive development of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the countries of Central Asia within the framework of various international and regional organizations.
At the same time, within the framework of this meeting, issues of multilateral trade cooperation, the development of the digital economy and regional cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies, green economy, investment, transport, energy and the definition of integration processes in priority economic sectors of the countries of Central Asia were discussed.
At the meeting, the Tajik side stated that today's meeting is another sustainable step for the development of mutually beneficial regional cooperation.
Also, as part of this event, Nuriddinzoda A.N. held bilateral meetings with the Regional Director of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Central Asia, Mr. Ibrahim Shukri and the representative of the Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank (AIIB) Kazuhiro Nomoto, during which they exchanged views on ongoing projects and prospects for further cooperation between Tajikistan and these banks.
