Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan / Plenipotentiary Representative of the Islamic Development Bank from the Republic of Tajikistan with the Vice President of the Islamic Development Bank Group

The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade / Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) from the Republic of Tajikistan from May 10 to 13, 2023 takes part in the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group.

The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan includes the Minister of Economic Development and Trade / Plenipotentiary Representative of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) from the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Sharifzoda Firdavs, Chairman of Sanoatsodirotbonk Khokimsho Bobozoda, Deputy Chairman of Amonatbonk Rizvonzoda Firdavs, First Deputy Chairman of Tavkhidbonk Hasanzoda Mukhiddin and Head of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Dilshod Sharifi.

As part of the participation of the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan at this event, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Vice President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, Dr. Mansur Mukhtar, during which the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity-Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, were outlined on increasing funding for the country's priority projects.

The Tajik side presented specific projects in the spheres of the national economy to the BIR.

Within the framework of this visit, a meeting of the official delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan with the President of the BIR and other heads of its structures is planned.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand bilateral cooperation.
