Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the official delegation of investors of the Federal Republic of Germany

On September 4, 2023, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with a delegation of investors of the Federal Republic of Germany under the leadership of the Chairman of the Committee of the Eastern Economy of Germany Michael Arms.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon and the Federal Chancellor of Germany, the respected Olaf Scholz, trade and economic relations between the two countries have reached a qualitatively new level.

As a result, the volume of mutual foreign trade turnover with Germany in the first half of 2023 amounted to $ 93.9 million and increased by $ 50 million or 2.1 times compared to the same period last year. But taking into account the broad resources and capabilities of the parties, the volume of this indicator may be even higher.

Also during the meeting, the Head of the Department, Zavqizoda Z. A., requested from German investors about financing sectors of the national economy, including industrialization, energy, strengthening export potential, development of the green and digital economy, which was well received by them.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and implement the planned plans.
