Participation and speech of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade at the 22nd Meeting of Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member States

On September 27, 2023, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Sоlehzoda Ashurboy Abduvohid took part and spoke at the 22nd meeting of Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member States responsible for economic and foreign trade activities, held in the form of a videoconference.

Sоlehzoda A.A. noted that thanks to the rational and far-sighted policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon and the leaders of the SCO countries, relations between the countries are constantly developing and reaching the highest level, and the Republic of Tajikistan has made the development of cooperation within this organization one of the top priorities of its foreign policy.

On September 16-17, 2021, a meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States and the 20th anniversary of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States took place in Dushanbe, which played an important role in strengthening cooperation with the SCO member states.

The sides discussed issues of expanding cooperation in the fields of digitalization, the creation of industrial enterprises, the development of e-commerce, green economy, agriculture, increasing exports, further development of ties in the transport and infrastructure sector, logistics and tourism.

At the same time, it was noted that for more than 20 years we have been able to establish cooperation in general within the SCO aimed at strengthening the economic potential of the Organization.

It should be noted that the Republic of Tajikistan is one of the founding countries of this organization.

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a statement by the ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member States responsible for foreign trade activities in connection with the prospects and measures of cooperation between the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member States.

The parties also expressed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and implement the mentioned issues.
