The sixth meeting of the subcommittee of contiguous regions “Tajikistan-Xinzia-Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China” was held at the Chinese-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation
On November 2, 2023, the 6th meeting of the subcommittee of the Tajik-Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China under the Tajik-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Dushanbe, co-chaired by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Vosidiyon Farhod Sadullo and the Deputy Chairman of the Government Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China Ms. Sun Hongmei.
Vosidiyon. F. S. noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policies of the leaders of the two countries, the Founder of peace and national unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, the respected Xi Jinping, relations between the two countries are constantly developing and reaching a high level.
During this meeting, the parties raised issues of expanding trade, including the development of exports of products from the Republic of Tajikistan to the Xinjiang Uyghur region of the People's Republic of China, the creation of joint industrial ventures, cooperation in the field of energy, transport, agriculture, as well as the creation of joint industrial ventures in free economic zones of Tajikistan.
Also, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade made specific proposals in connection with strengthening cooperation in the areas of digitalization, e-commerce, green economy, agriculture, as well as increasing the volume of exports of environmentally friendly agricultural products of Tajikistan to China, and further developing ties in the field of transport and logistics .
The negotiations took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, the parties expressed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and implement the issues noted.
Following the meeting of the subcommittee, a protocol was signed.
