Discussion of climate change, trade facilitation and digitalization at the 22nd Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program
On November 30, 2023, in Tbilisi, Georgia, with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Georgia and the CAREC member ministers, the 22nd Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program was held, in which Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Vosidiyon Farhod Sadullo took part and spoke.
Vosidiyon F. S. first of all, thanking the Georgian side for the high level of preparation and organization of the 22nd Ministerial Conference of CAREC member countries in the beautiful city of Tbilisi, said that today’s event will be an important step towards further trade and economic development of the program member countries.
The Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade during his speech noted that the Republic of Tajikistan, under the wise and far-sighted policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, attaches special importance to strengthening economic cooperation within the framework of CAREC, today the share of member countries which in the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Tajikistan accounts for 44 percent of the total volume.
During the conference, participants prioritized issues of climate change, diversification of trade flows and transit transport routes in the region, as well as trade facilitation, digitalization and expansion of e-commerce and exchanged views on these issues.
