Meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan

  

On May 31, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Director of the Agency for Land Reclamation and Irrigation Zafarbek Davlatzoda gave a report on the Program of Development of Land Reclamation and Irrigation for 2024-2028.

It was emphasized that the main purpose of the adoption of the Program is to take measures related to creating a favorable environment for attracting foreign capital, private sector funds, renovation and restoration of hydrotechnical facilities in order to adapt to climate change, sustainable water supply, cleaning of drains, improvement of land reclamation, development of new lands, bringing the lands that have come out of the agricultural cycle into the agricultural cycle, etc.

Honorable President of the country Emomali Rahmon instructed that the relevant structures ensure the implementation of the Program and its Action Plan within the specified time and with the necessary funds.

Then, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda gave a report on the prospects of the main macroeconomic indicators of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2025-2027.

It was emphasized that the draft of this resolution was adopted within the framework of the instructions and orders of the President of the country in order to prevent the impact of potential risks on the national economy and to ensure indicators of socio-economic development prospects.

The Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, instructed the ministries, agencies and local executive bodies of the state power to take necessary measures to implement the prospects of the main macroeconomic indicators of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2025-2027.

Relevant structures were also obliged to ensure the timely implementation of state programs of development.

The meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan also discussed and submitted for consideration of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan drafts of a number of laws, including the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Customs Code of the Republic of Tajikistan”, on amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Other Mandatory Payments to the Budget”, on amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the State Border of the Republic of Tajikistan” and on amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Holidays”.

In accordance with the amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the State Border of the Republic of Tajikistan”, passengers cross the border line at airports through electronic gates, which simplifies the transit system and saves time for both passengers and border guards.

The purpose of the amendment to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Holidays” is to add the Television Day to the list of holidays in the Republic of Tajikistan.

Also, the draft Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Program of Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Persons with an Extremist or Terrorist Past in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024-2028” was discussed and the relevant decision was adopted.

At the end of the meeting, the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon drew the attention of the members of the Government and other officials to the mandatory implementation of the issues on the agenda of today's meeting, the previous tasks of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the implementation of the instructions given during the meeting with the country's activists and religious servants, representatives of science and education.

Other tasks were also given regarding the safe harvesting of field crops, effective use of modern agricultural machinery and technologies, wide implementation of re-seeding in wetlands, provision of abundant crops, food reserves, as well as expansion of development works in order to welcome the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
