A Grant Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the German Development Bank (KfW) for the construction of a hospital to combat tuberculosis
In order to fulfill the instructions and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, on attracting grant funds to sectors of the national economy, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, as co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Federal Republic of Germany, is carrying out relevant work.
To this end, on July 2, 2024, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the Head of the regional office of the German Development Bank in Central Asia Andreas Schneider signed a “Grant Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan represented by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and German Development Bank (KfW) in the amount of 11 million euros for the construction of a new hospital to combat tuberculosis in the city of Kulyab, Khatlon region.
Within the framework of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on financial cooperation (2020), these funds are allocated to finance the new project “Program to combat tuberculosis in Tajikistan, phase VI”.
It should be noted that this Agreement was signed on the basis of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on financial cooperation for 2017-2019, which has already undergone internal procedures as an additional financing agreement.
