Conducting a training session on a refresher course for heads of regions, cities and districts and responsible persons for working with local bodies of central government bodies under the program “Public Administration in Modern Times”

  

On July 4, 2024, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin held a training session at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on a training course for heads of regions, cities and districts and responsible persons for working with local bodies of central government bodies under the program “Public management in modern times" on the topic of interim implementation of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2030: further achievements and priorities.

During his speech, Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that, despite the tension of the situation in the modern world and the direct influence of external negative factors on the national economy, during the interim implementation of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2030 (the last eight years) under the wise leadership The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, the rate of development of the national economy averaged 7.4%, and international financial organizations assessed Tajikistan based on the average annual rate of economic growth as a country with a fast-growing economy.

It was noted that the volume of gross domestic product during this period increased by 2.6 times and per capita by 2.3 times, the monetary income of the population by 4.4 times, the average salary by more than 2 times, the amount of pensions by 1.9 times, the number of entrepreneurs 1.6 times, which contributed to an increase in the standard of living of the population.

As a result of timely measures by the Government of the country, the poverty level decreased from 31.3% in 2015 to 21.2% in 2023, Tajikistan was among the 10 leading countries in the world in terms of the rate of poverty reduction, according to the World Bank.

It was also noted that various trends in the modern world influence the development of socio-economic spheres in different countries of the world, and in order to achieve the country’s strategic goals, each of us will have to make more efforts.
