Participation of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan in the IX Eastern Economic Forum
On September 3-5, 2024, the IX Eastern Economic Forum was held in Vladivostok, Russian Federation. The main purpose of the forum is the further development of the Far Eastern region, and the Russian Federation is interested in its socio-economic development for closer cooperation with the countries of the world, including the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The forum was held with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, representatives of senior delegations from countries of the world and the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as international organizations, representatives of business and academia.
Tajikistan was represented at this forum by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nasriddinzoda Rukhshona Hikmatullo and the First Deputy of the Committee on Investments and State Property Management Farrukh Yusufzoda.
It was noted that this event will mainly create the necessary conditions for strengthening business ties at the regional and international levels; participants will be able to exchange experiences with business partners in attracting investments and improving the atmosphere of small and medium-sized businesses.
Representatives of Tajikistan also expressed interest in further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in promising areas of development of trade and economic cooperation based on the rational use of huge capacities in the fields of energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, development of transport infrastructure, logistics, tourism, digitalization and the transition to a “green economy”.
