Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Minister of Trade and Industry of Qatar

  

On October 2, 2024, in the city of Doha, State of Qatar, within the framework of the Business Forum of the Dialogue on Cooperation in Asia, a meeting was held between the official delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan under the leadership of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin with the Minister of Trade and Industry of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad bin Qasim Ali Soni .

 

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the wise policies of the leaders of the two countries, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, and the Emir of the State of Qatar, respected Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Ali Soni, relations between the two countries constantly developed and reached the highest level .

At the same time, Zavqizoda Z.A., in order to fulfill the instructions and instructions of the leader of the nation and fulfill the instructions of the Government of the country, called for the implementation of 14 priority investment projects and 3 priority charitable projects within the framework of the Memorandum of  Cooperation in the field of charitable and humanitarian activities.

In this regard, the parties agreed to implement priority projects, expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of investment, energy, transport, agriculture, create joint industrial ventures, trade and services, export of goods and products and in other areas.

Zavqizoda Z.A. also invited the Minister of Trade and Industry of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad bin Qasim Ali Soni, to make an official visit to Tajikistan at a time convenient for them, which was gladly accepted.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
