Meeting of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the delegation of Lanzhou City of the People's Republic of China

  

On October 15, 2024, a meeting was held between the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Solehzoda Ashurboy Abduvohid and the Secretary of the Lanzhou City Party Committee.

 

During the meeting, Solehzoda A. A. noted the importance of strategic cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China, which continues to develop thanks to the wise policy and supreme political will of the leaders of both countries, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping. It was emphasized that the partnership between the two countries has reached a new qualitative level, covering wide areas of interaction.

The First Deputy Minister expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of trade and economic relations, emphasizing that China is the second largest trading partner of Tajikistan, playing a significant role in investment activities in the country. Chinese investments cover key sectors of the national economy, making a significant contribution to its development.

During the meeting, investment opportunities in Tajikistan were presented, highlighting priority areas for foreign investors, including the development of free economic zones, the provision of tax and administrative benefits, as well as projects in the field of coal and gas mining, solar panel production, construction of metallurgical plants and thermal power plants.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and develop new projects that contribute to strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
