Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade with representatives of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC)

  

On November 11, 2024, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted a meeting of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nuriddinzod Ahliddin Nuriddin with representatives of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss important aspects of economic cooperation and exchange views on the Central Asian Business Plus (TCCA+) initiative aimed at promoting trade and strengthening financial opportunities in Central Asia.

 

In his speech, Nuriddinzoda A. N. stressed the importance of partnership with ITFC, noting that the support of this corporation in the areas of trade finance will contribute to strengthening the economy of Tajikistan and the region. The Deputy Minister also expressed gratitude for the contribution of ITFC to expanding the possibilities of Islamic finance, which opens up new prospects for domestic enterprises.

During the meeting, the ITFC delegation provided information on the progress of the TCCA+ initiative and discussed plans to support trade and simplify trade procedures, this step is important for strengthening the trading system and increasing the country's export potential. During the discussion, special attention was paid to compliance with international standards and human development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to further develop cooperation within the framework of the TCCA+ initiative. It was noted that the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan is always open to new initiatives aimed at developing the country's economy.
