The readiness of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region for the winter of 2024-2025 was discussed

  

On November 20, 2024, a virtual meeting of the Republican Headquarters for the implementation of the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 30, 2024 No. 192 "on timely preparation of the economic and social spheres of the republic for regular and effective activities in the autumn-winter period 2024-2025" was held, at which the preparation of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region for wintering was discussed.

 

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Staff of the esteemed Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali.

The meeting was attended by representatives of line ministries and departments - members of the republican headquarters in real time, as well as heads and responsible persons of executive bodies of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, its cities and districts in virtual mode.

In order to study the actual status of the implementation of this resolution, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a working group was established from representatives of relevant sectoral ministries and departments, which made working trips to the cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region and was informed about the implementation of the above-mentioned resolution and the readiness of socio-economic spheres of the region for regular and effective activities in the autumn-winter period of 2024-2025, including in institutions of education, health, culture, and transport, industrial enterprises, housing and communal services, financial management, consumer society, electric networks, etc. and submitted a corresponding report to the Government of the Republic.

During the meeting, the heads of the executive bodies of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, cities and districts presented reports, during the meeting opinions were expressed on shortcomings and problems in each of the cities and districts of the region related to financing the purchase and storage of fuel, food and anti-slip materials, preparation of energy facilities and other issues.

Following the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Staff of the esteemed Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali, gave specific instructions to the relevant ministries, departments and executive bodies of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, its cities and districts to ensure the implementation of the plan for the procurement of necessary materials and timely preparation of economic and social spheres for regular and effective activities in the autumn-the winter period of 2024-2025.
