Conducting a Training Seminar on Religion and Regulation of Holidays and Rituals at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade
On February 24, 2025, a training seminar on the implementation of policies related to religion and the regulation of holidays and rituals in the country was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. The seminar was initiated by the Public Commission for the Regulation of Holidays and Rituals of the ministry, with participation from the ministry's leadership, representatives of the Committee on Religion, Regulation of Traditions and Holidays under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and staff from the ministry's central office.
The event was opened by Deputy Minister Vosidiyon Farhod Sa'dullo, who, in his opening remarks, noted that every employee of the ministry bears responsibility for the enforcement of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Holidays and Rituals in the Republic of Tajikistan," as well as the Presidential Decree of April 4, 2018, No. 1042 "On the Concept of State Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Field of Religion," and key points from the speech delivered by the President of the country, Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, on March 9, 2024, during a meeting with activists, representatives of civil society, and religious figures.
Vosidiyon F. S. also emphasized that contemporary processes such as cultural and civilizational clashes, religious and confessional discord, as well as the unprecedented spread of terrorism and religious extremism are ongoing. These issues have become tools in the hands of various interested parties. Their impact on society and the state can be serious if measures are not taken to contain them.
Following this, representatives from the Committee on Religion, Regulation of Traditions and Holidays under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Burkhoniddin Kalandrov and Muslihiddin Khojamirov, conducted explanatory discussions on the Concept of State Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Field of Religion and the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Traditions and Holidays in the Republic of Tajikistan."
In conclusion, the ministry's leadership provided specific instructions to the staff of the ministry's central office for implementing the requirements of the aforementioned legal acts.
