Initiation of the Working Group's Activities for Presenting and Reviewing the Forecast of Key Indicators for Socio-Economic Development of Cities and Districts of the Republic in 2026 and Its Main Parameters for 2027-2028
On March 4, 2025, within the framework of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan's order No. 92-f dated October 1, 2024, and the Exhibition Plan approved by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade's order No. 58 dated October 22, 2024, a presentation of the forecast for socio-economic development indicators for the cities of Rogun, Vahdat, and the districts of Faizobad and Varzob was held at the ministry with the participation of representatives from the executive authorities of these cities and districts.
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Vosidion Farhod Sadullo, who noted that the purpose of the meeting is to ensure the qualitative implementation of the tasks set forth by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, aimed at finding new sources of development, improving the standard and quality of life for the population, ensuring food security, effectively utilizing available opportunities and resources, commissioning new capacities into operation, activating existing capacities, and overall ensuring the economic development of the country.
It was also noted that in developing the prospective socio-economic development indicators for 2026 and the main parameters for 2027-2028, the provisions of concepts, strategies, adopted state and sectoral programs, as well as regional programs for socio-economic development of cities and districts will be taken into account. In this process, the deputies of the heads of Varzob district – Rajabzoda B., Rogun city – Ismoilzoda A., Vahdat city – Gayurzoda N., and Faizobad district – Saidzoda Sh. presented the prospective indicators for socio-economic development for 2026 and the main parameters for 2027-2028.
After the presentations, the proposed indicators were reviewed, and relevant decisions were made based on the results of the meeting.
According to the approved work plan, presentations of forecasts for key socio-economic development indicators for the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, regions, Dushanbe city, and other cities and districts will be held in March and April.
