Overview of the Forecast for Key Indicators of Socio-Economic Development in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Khatlon Region, and Cities and Districts of the Republic in 2026 and Its Main Parameters for 2027-2028

  

On March 17, 2025, a presentation of the forecast for the socio-economic development indicators of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Khatlon Region, as well as the cities of Tursunzade and Gissar and the districts of Shahrinav and Rudaki for the year 2026 and its main parameters for 2027-2028 took place at the Ministry, in accordance with the requirements of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan's decree No. 92-f dated October 1, 2024. The meeting was attended by representatives of the executive bodies of state power from Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region and Khatlon, along with other relevant officials.

 

The meeting was initiated by Farhod Sa’udullo Vosidien, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, who emphasized that the purpose of the meeting is to effectively implement the directives and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, aimed at finding new sources of development, improving the living standards and quality of life for the population, ensuring food security, effectively utilizing available opportunities and resources, commissioning new capacities, activating existing capacities, and ensuring the overall economic development of the country.

It was noted that while developing the forecast for socio-economic development indicators for 2026 and its main parameters for 2027-2028, it is essential to consider the provisions of adopted state and sectoral concepts, strategies, programs, and regional programs for socio-economic development of regions, cities, and districts. Participants included Musso Odiinamukhammad Mirzozoda, Deputy Chairman of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region; Azimjon Bakhtier Azimzoda, Deputy Chairman of Tursunzade; Khayriddin Nuralizoda, Deputy Chairman of Gissar; Odiljon Anvarzoda, First Deputy Chairman of Shahrinav District; Saidakhmad Kasimzoda, Deputy Chairman of Rudaki; and Khurshed Valiev, Head of Economic Development, Trade and Monitoring Department of Khatlon Region’s Executive Body.

After the presentation, the proposed indicators were reviewed, and corresponding decisions were made based on the discussions. According to the approved work plan, forecasts for key socio-economic development indicators from the ministries of agriculture, energy, water resources, and transport will be presented and discussed on March 19, 2025.
