The first meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on the development of the Action Plan of the Green Economy Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2037 for 2026-2028

  

On March 18, 2025, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade held the first meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on the development of the Action Plan of the Green Economy Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2037 for 2026-2028 under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Solehzoda A. A.

First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Sоlehzoda A. A. noted that the purpose of this Strategy is to carry out institutional reforms, ensure the efficient use of natural capital, attract investment, introduce modern and innovative technologies and strengthen international cooperation in the direction of a green economy.

It was emphasized that the Strategy for the Development of a “Green” Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2037 is divided into 5 stages in accordance with the goals and objectives defined in its sections, including the first and second stages (2023-2025 and 2026-2028) of activities to popularize information about the “green” economy, training and formation of economic and environmental thinking, the introduction of the principles of the “green” economy in regulatory legal acts, their observance includes the adoption of management decisions and the beginning of the implementation of the standards of the “green” economy in the socio-economic spheres of the country.

In this regard, it was proposed that the members of the Working Group, when preparing proposals for the Action Plan of this Strategy for 2026-2028, take as a basis the progress achieved in the modern world, new trends in the development of a "green" economy focused on innovation, digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence, and formulate them within the framework of the country's strategic goals and priorities.

Taking this into account, the stages of development and submission of proposals were determined at the meeting of the Working Group.
